Kickin’ It With Cops (“KIC”) is a free soccer clinic provided to children in northern New Jersey from grades 1-8. Our primary goal is to connect children and families with law enforcement through soccer. Also, the NJ Guardian LEFC members would act as role models and mentors to the children who attend. By hosting events like Kickin’ It With Cops, we hope that children can develop positive and lasting relationships with police officers.

We understand there are many established soccer camps/clinics in the area. However, as some of our members are parents, we understand these activities can become costly. Therefore, we have decided to provide our clinic free of charge. The NJ Guardian members are all police officers donating their time and experiences to this cause.

Guardians LEFC members have extensive knowledge of the sport from many years of coaching and playing. Our members will teach the fundamentals of soccer, coordination, balance, and understanding of the game. Coaches will put the players through intensive drills culminating in an age-appropriate scrimmage.

As a bonus, we will have police officers from the local police departments present at our clinics. The children will be able to speak with the officers, take photos, sit in a police car, learn about the equipment, view police motorcycles and much more.

We have an amazing relationship with Ashley Hammond, the owner of SDA in Clifton. Guardians LEFC and the Sports Domain Academy are working together on this event. Although our first KIC event will be held indoors at SDA in Clifton, we plan our holding our second KIC event outdoors in Spring of '23 at the Little Falls Rec Center with more to come thereafter.
